PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN UNC PEMBROKE and BRUNSWICK COMMUNITY

COLLEGE OFFERS NEW PATH TO A FOUR YEAR COLLEGE DEGREE

A dynamic partnership between Brunswick Community College (BCC) and the University of North

Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) offers Brunswick County residents a new path to a valuable four-year

college degree. Beginning this next Spring, UNC Pembroke will offer the Bachelor of

Interdisciplinary Studies (BIS) degree program to Brunswick County residents holding Applied

Associate degrees through classes offered at BCC’s Campuses in Leland and Bolivia, and online.

UNCP scheduled one class in Criminal Justice to be delivered on the Leland campus this fall.

To help those interested in finding out how the UNCP BIS program fills their educational needs,

UNCP is hosting an upcoming information session on the BIS in Brunswick County at the Brunswick

Community College Campus in Bolivia scheduled from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM on Tuesday, June

19, 2012, in the Administration Building, Room A212.
