The NCACCT Leadership Seminar is the premiere event for community college leaders across North Carolina.  Why should you join 300 community college leaders from across the state?  The role of a Community College Trustee is more important now than ever in the constantly changing landscape of higher education.  The seminar in September will include state-mandated training for new and reappointed trustees, and there will be sessions applicable to the work of all Trustees.  Sessions will focus on best practices for leading through governance and policy at your college;  working in partnership with your college’s president to support student success; navigating the myriad of legal issues impacting our colleges; and understanding economic trends and data that will determine enrollment goals and strategies.  Of utmost importance will be the opportunity for Trustees to network with fellow leaders across the state, including college Presidents, members of the State Board of Community Colleges and members of the System Office team.  Ethics training will also be available, led by the NC Ethics Commission (This is completely separate from the NCACCT training sessions but is offered as a convenience for our members).  Space is limited, so register as soon as possible!

REGISTRATION: The deadline for registration is Wednesday, August 28.  If a registration is canceled anytime up until Tuesday, September 3, a refund will be given less a $25 administrative fee.  After Tuesday, September 3, no refunds will be issued for a cancellation.

AGENDA: A draft agenda can be found here.  Please contact Caroline Hipple at hipple@ncacct.org if you have any questions about this event.
